Sea view apartments in Alcossebre, area by area

Sea view apartments in Alcossebre are concentrated along three stretches of coast: Playa Romana, the Cargador seafront promenade and Las Fuentes, by the marina. A sea view is not the same as beachfront

Beachfront (in Spanish, "primera línea") is about where the building is: there is no road with traffic between it and the beach. Sea view is about what you see from your apartment. A ground-floor flat on the beachfront may look onto the garden, while an apartment a little further back, on an upper floor, may see the sea over the rooftops.

Which Casa Azahar apartments have a sea view

Other Casa Azahar buildings, such as Nova Romana, Al Andalus, Mare Nostrum, Marino Superior, Arcos II, El Rocío or Villas Sunset, are not listed with a sea view. They can be a good choice for price, pool or capacity, but not for the view.

Playa Romana: the Casablanca complex

The Casablanca complex (Residencial Casablanca) sits right on the front line of Playa Romana and is the sea view building with the most space: two-bedroom apartments for 4/6 people and three-bedroom apartments for 5/7, with seasonal pools and palm-lined gardens. The view depends on the floor: upper-floor apartments look out over the sea and the beach, while ground-floor ones open onto the garden and pools, with a garden or side view.

The Cargador promenade: Ibiza apartments

The Ibiza apartments are on the seafront promenade of the Cargador, the town's main beach, and their terrace has sea views. They are three-bedroom duplexes for six people, with an outdoor parking space; the building has stairs, and in high season guests can use a nearby pool. Nearby, in the central Cargador area, the Bovalar apartments have some sea view and a lift, handy if you are travelling with older relatives.

Las Fuentes and the marina: Poblado Marinero, Madeira and Marino

Las Fuentes, by the marina, is the area with the most Casa Azahar buildings with a sea view:

• Marino: on the beachfront, with direct access to the Las Fuentes promenade, a pool for adults and children and a car-free complex. Only some apartments have a sea view; the Marino Superior apartments in the same complex are not listed with one. See the Marino apartments.
• Arcos I and Fuente Sol: some of their apartments see the sea. Ask about the specific apartment before you book.
• Jardines del Puerto: on the beachfront by the marina, with a large pool, children's pool and free parking, but its listing does not confirm a sea view for every apartment. If it is a must, check the Jardines del Puerto listing.

Marcomar: sea or mountains by the Serra d'Irta

The Marcomar apartments are on the Marcolina estate, 1.3 km from Las Fuentes, at the foot of the Serra d'Irta Natural Park. Depending on the apartment, the view is of the sea or of the mountains. They suit you if you are after hiking and coves rather than a seafront promenade.

If you prefer a hotel by the sea, Alcossebre Sea Experience is a 4-star aparthotel with 90 apartments, on the beachfront between the Cargador and Playa Romana, with a pool and a skybar. You stay in an apartment, not a room, with the services of an aparthotel. Before booking, check on its website which apartment types have a sea view.

How to choose a sea view apartment

• The floor: the higher it is, the wider the horizon. A ground floor gives you direct access to the garden or pool, but usually looks onto the garden. With small children or older relatives, ask about a lift: not every building has one.
• The orientation: in Alcossebre the sea is to the east. Terraces facing the sea get the morning sun and shade in the afternoon.
• The terrace: a front view, with the sea straight ahead, is not the same as a side view, where the sea appears to one side. Ask for photos of the view from the terrace of the specific apartment, not just of the building.
• Noise: the seafront promenades are lively in summer, especially the Cargador. For quiet evenings, Playa Romana is calmer.
• The apartment, not just the building: where only some apartments have a view, the view depends on the one you book. Read its description in the listing.
• No pets: the apartments managed by Casa Azahar do not accept animals.
