The beaches of Alcossebre fall into two kinds of coast. In town there are seven town beaches, from north to south: Les Fonts (Las Fuentes), Carregador (Cargador), Romana, El Moro, Tres Platges (Tres Playas), Manyetes (Tropicana) and Serradal (L'Estany). To the north, in the Serra d'Irta Natural Park, are the coves: Cala Blanca, Cala Mundina, Cala Ribamar and smaller ones towards Peñíscola. In 2026 four beaches fly the Blue Flag: Carregador, Romana, El Moro and Manyetes.

Sizes and facilities are those published by the official tourist office of Alcalà de Xivert-Alcossebre. A dash means the official source doesn't say. The beaches also hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certification.
Les Fonts (Las Fuentes), by the marina
Les Fonts is a fine-sand beach of about 400 × 40 m, just north of Las Fuentes marina. Its quirk is the freshwater springs that bubble up through the sand from an old aquifer. It has lifeguards, toilets, showers, foot showers, a children's and sports area and sunbed and parasol hire. In 2026 it does not have a Blue Flag.
Carregador (Cargador), the main beach
Carregador is Alcossebre's main beach: about 850 × 70 m of fine sand in front of the town centre and the seafront promenade, with a dune system where sea daffodils grow. It has flown the Blue Flag without interruption since 1987, is accessible for people with reduced mobility and has lifeguards, toilets, showers, children's play equipment, paddleboard hire and a sailing club. It's the liveliest beach with the most facilities.

Playa Romana
Playa Romana is about 500 × 40 m of fine sand, accessible and with a Blue Flag in 2026. You reach it from Cargador along the Senda Litoral, a wooden boardwalk by the sea, and it has lifeguards and children's and sports games. It's the beach of the Casablanca complex. The full picture is in our Playa Romana guide.

El Moro, Tres Platges and Manyetes
South of Romana the coast becomes more sheltered: - El Moro: about 300 × 30 m of fine sand between two rocky outcrops, with lifeguards, toilets and showers. Blue Flag 2026. - Tres Platges: three small coves in a row, sand and pebbles, about 400 m in all. Unsupervised bathing area: no lifeguard. - Manyetes (Tropicana): about 400 × 35 m, sand at the north end and pebbles at the south, with dunes, lifeguards, sunbeds and parasols. Blue Flag 2026.
We compare them in more detail in the guide to the beaches of southern Alcossebre.

Serradal (L'Estany) and the dog-friendly area
Serradal (L'Estany) is the longest beach in the municipality: about 1,600 m of pebbles, very natural, with a small delta where the San Miguel river meets the sea. Its southern section has a stretch set aside for pets: it's the only beach in Alcossebre where you can bring your dog. Bear in mind that the apartments managed by Casa Azahar don't accept animals.
Don't confuse it with the other Serradal, a pebble beach inside the Serra d'Irta between Cala Mundina and the Prestige apartments area.
What about Capicorb? The official tourism website lists no beach by that name: at the far south of the municipality it mentions the Capicorb tower as heritage, not as a place to swim.
Serra d'Irta coves: Cala Blanca, Mundina and Ribamar
North of the marina, by Alcossebre lighthouse, the unspoilt coast of the Serra d'Irta Natural Park begins. Cala Blanca (about 30 × 10 m of fine sand and pebbles) sits at the start of the Ribamar track; Cala Mundina, with sand, stones and clear water among rocks, marks the park's southern boundary, followed by Cala Ribamar. The official tourist office rates access as difficult, and Turisme Comunitat Valenciana lists them as unsupervised bathing areas: no lifeguards, no facilities. Bring water shoes, water and shade.
In the Irta marine reserve, spearfishing and recreational fishing from the shore are banned between Cala Mundina and Cala del Volante.
Parking at Alcossebre's beaches
- Town beaches: the official website lists no dedicated car parks. In July and August, parking near the sand by mid-morning is hard; arrive early or walk along the seafront promenade and the Senda Litoral.
- Serra d'Irta coves: in high summer you can only drive onto the coastal track with a reserved parking space booked in the GVA Parcs Naturals app. The dates change every year, so check the natural park's website. There are small regulated car parks, such as those in the Prestige area or at Font de la Parra.
