Romana beach in Alcossebre is a fine-sand town beach, about 500 metres long by 40 wide, just south of Carregador. It's accessible, has a Blue Flag in 2026 and joins the centre of the town via the Senda Litoral, a wooden walkway. If you're looking for the full guide to services and access, you'll find it in the Playa Romana guide; here we look at what it looks like, what guests say and where to sleep.

How to choose between Romana and the neighbouring beaches
To the north is Carregador, the main beach, with a seafront promenade and more atmosphere. To the south come El Moro, Tres Platges and Manyetes, which we describe in the beaches south of Alcossebre. Romana sits in between: fine sand, services and fewer strollers than the centre. To decide which month to go, in this guide to when to go to Alcossebre you'll find the climate and a month-by-month calendar.

Romana suits anyone who wants fine sand, services and a little less bustle than the centre. Is that what you're after, or would you rather be closer to the restaurants of Cargador?
